Founded in 1979, Starrs Market is located at 1135 South Big Bend in Richmond Heights. Originally, Starrs was a gourmet coffee roaster, but within a year of opening its doors expanded into the retail wine business. In 1991, Starrs moved from Clayton to its current location in Richmond Heights and branched out with a private dining room for special events and a gourmet take-out section.
In an era of national chains, superstores, and internet auctions, Starrs offers a rare commodity; personal service. Starrs stocks hard to find foods such as quail breasts, deer tenderloins, caviar, and a complete Cajun section including real Louisiana Andouille and even Turduckens.
